The Drone Perspective
Before drones became popular, I took a leap that would change how I see design forever. Back in 2015, while working with The Visintainer Group, I was asked if I could provide aerial footage for a commercial real estate property they were listing. I said YES, before I even owned a drone. That moment of instinct and curiosity launched a whole new creative chapter. I bought my first drone, taught myself to fly, got my Part 107 FAA Drone certification, and learned to tell stories from a whole new angle. From that one real estate job, this new "toy" evolved into a passion for aerial storytelling… using altitude and perspective to frame the world differently. From flying through the tutorial center at Clovis Community College to my work at Westlands Water District, where I capture sweeping shots of infrastructure, groundwater recharge sites, and vast agricultural landscapes. Whether it’s a cinematic flyover of a pumping plant or an FPV fly-through of our field shop or pumping plant, each flight tells a story that you can only get from the air. Drone work has taught me that the best ideas don’t always come from eye level. Sometimes you have to rise above to see the full picture. Key roles: Aerial photography, FPV drone videography, cinematography, storytelling, visual composition, and editing.
